Hello! I'm Samantha.

I am a health services and health policy researcher applying mixed-methods to understand the organization and delivery of mental health and substance use treatment and harm reduction services. Broadly, my work focuses on the accessibility and quality of substance use treatment and harm reduction services and the local, state, and federal policies that shape service access. I have special interest in aging and health, opioid use disorder, alcohol use disorder, and Medicare and Medicaid policy.

I am currently an Assistant Scientist in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health working with the Bloomberg Overdose Prevention Initiative led by Dr. Brendan Saloner and Dr. Sachini Bandara. The Bloomberg Overdose Prevention Initiative, funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies, is a collaborative partnership with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Evaluation Team, Vital Strategies, The Pew Charitable Trust, and the CDC Foundation.
